This 14th, Cal and I will be having Salt City Sprints races at The W Lounge (358 South West Temple) as part of the fundraiser event, benefiting The Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective. It’s going to be $5 at the door with all proceeds going to The Collective. There will also be raffled items and I believe two bikes will be given away as part of the raffle. eBay is sponsoring this event and it will be taking place from 8-11 pm. As everyone knows, May is Bike Month here in the SLC, so lets all try to do our best to support one of the coolest local Non-Profits around.

So a big thank you to Ian and Helen from Fresh, I love your store and lets have some more races there later in the year!

Cal and I were recently asked to volunteer some time at the Odyssey House and we both thought it would be a good idea. After Cal and I set up the SCS system, the kids were let in and wow, there was some excitement, and a lot of curiosity. In the end, every person raced, including Cal and myself. Some ended up racing multiple times, and there was one girl who raced 8 times. Cal and I also can say that we’ve raced our first pregnant woman. A young girl 8 months and looking very pregnant, as well as two other gentleman who had a little puke session behind the building. All said they had a great time though, so nothing to worry about there. Some photos were sent to me, and I’ve added them to my flickr.com page. www.flickr.com/photos/todderickson

I am still working on prizes at this point, but there will be stuff for the top men’s and woman’s racers. So come one, come all!!!
